MEET THE FACULTY

Lead Teacher: Daniela Novati

With over 20 years of study, practice, and teaching, Daniela believes the highest benefit of yoga goes far beyond the mat — it’s how we live our lives, the way we relate to ourselves, and the presence we bring to the world.

A Yoga Alliance Certified Continuing Education Provider (YACEP), Daniela has collaborated on 200-hour Teacher Trainings with Jhon Tamayo (Atmananda Yoga School) and with Hanu Yoga Studio. She now offers specialized continuing education in Pranayama, Hatha Yoga, Functional Alignment, and Intelligent Sequencing at Hanu. Her teachings often include yoga adapted for lumbar herniated discs and other injuries, with a strong emphasis on proper alignment and therapeutic application.

Daniela’s deep connection to yoga was forged through profound personal challenges. She survived two major car accidents, years apart, and endured the passing of her beloved husband. These events left her with 131 bone fractures, hip displacement, vertebral herniated discs, shoulder injuries, and lasting physical limitations. Through these hardships, yoga became her anchor — a vital tool for mental, emotional, and physical recovery.

From recovery to purpose, Daniela’s journey shaped her commitment to teaching yoga full time — sharing the tools that helped her move forward with clarity and resilience, and inviting others to begin exactly where they are, cultivating balance, presence, and a more joyful life.

Guest Philosophy Teacher: Komal Dadlani

Komal brings over 16 years of professional experience, teaching in some of the most prestigious spaces across the United Kingdom, the United States, Spain, and Chile.

She is deeply committed to honoring her students, remaining loyal to her own practice and continuous education, with more than 1,000 hours of advanced training undertaken with mentors and schools around the world.

Originally from India, with a yogic spirit and a life journey shaped in the West, Komal skillfully translates the depth and richness of yogic philosophy into contemporary, relevant themes, while preserving the integrity and essence of the teachings.

She believes in yoga as a powerful tool for healing, and actively leads initiatives that bring its transformative potential to those who need it most.

Komal is a columnist for OM Yoga Magazine, Europe’s most widely circulated yoga publication; an ambassador for Lupus UK; and is regularly invited to train and mentor future yoga teachers in different parts of the world

Assistant Teacher: Daniel Cuervo

Daniel is a Vinyasa and Hatha instructor known for his grounded presence, clear communication, and community‑centered approach to teaching. His classes blend mindful movement, intentional sequencing, and an emphasis on recovery and connection, creating space for students to explore their practice with confidence and curiosity.

As a bilingual educator (English/Spanish), Daniel brings cultural awareness, accessibility, and authenticity into every class. His teaching is shaped by a deep respect for the practice and a belief in yoga as a tool for building meaningful human connections.

Assistant Teacher: Martin Markaj

Martin is an E-RYT 200 and RYT 500 yoga teacher with over twenty years of personal practice. His teaching blends tradition with thoughtful evolution, drawing from extensive training in vinyasa, Ashtanga, and Rocket yoga with some of the world’s most respected teachers. His classes focus on smart sequencing, mobility, strength, and alignment, with a particular love for inversions and playful exploration.

In class, Martin is known for precise, supportive adjustments and meeting students exactly where they are, challenging without overwhelming. His style balances discipline with play, effort with ease, and depth with a bit of humor. He hopes that students surprise themselves in his classes, but also reminds them that yoga is a lifelong practice with no rush.
